We all know that a biopic is in the making for the legendary Srilankan cricketer Muthaiah Muralidharan. He is the only bowler to take 800 Test wickets and nearly 530 ODI wickets. Murali, a member of ICC Cricket Hall of Fame, has taken more wickets in international cricket than any other bowler.
Muthaiah Muralidharan’s biopic is titled ‘800’, which was supposed to star Vijay Sethupathi first. But the Makkal Selvan couldn’t play that role citing some reasons and now ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ fame actor Madhurr Mittal is portraying the Srilankan bowler in his biopic. The upcoming movie is directed by MS Sripathy.
The makers launched a motion poster of 800 today. Sachin Tendulkar, the God of Cricket, will unveil the official trailer 800 on 5th September 2023 (Tuesday) at an event in Mumbai. The film is produced by Movie Train Motion Pictures and Vivek Rangachari. The release date of this biopic will be announced with its trailer. 800 will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
