Infinix launched the Note 30 VIP in June in two colors – Magic Black and Glacier Blue. Today, these are joined by a special edition of the smartphone called Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition.
Infinix teamed up with BMW Group’s Designworks for the Note 30 VIP Racing Edition, which, the company says, “stands as a powerful symbol of performance and racing fervor.” It integrated racing elements into the phone’s design to represent speed and passion and bring personalized experiences to its young users.
The Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition’s design draws inspiration from street racing and features 3D Lighting Leather technology on its back cover, allowing the light band on the rear in BMW’s iconic tri-color to shine through the black leather grain.
Infinix says the light band – which indicates the phone’s status through different light patterns – symbolizes speed, performance, and power, thus “echoing the Digital Racing Dashboard’s advanced nature and Infinix’s persistent spirit of challenge.”
The Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition also integrates motorsports elements into its design to echo racing aesthetics, with the back cover echoing checkered flag, and the palm grip embossed with small triangles to enhance the grip and stability, like the performance racing steering wheels.
The differences between the Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition and the standard model aren’t only cosmetic, though, since the Racing Edition also comes with an “extensively customized operating system.” This includes a theme harmonized with the colors of the light band on the rear and Magic Ring, which is seemingly inspired by Apple’s Dynamic Island and aims to provide seamless multi-tasking by eliminating the need for app switching.
Furthermore, the Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition comes in a special BMW-themed retail package with extra accessories, including a 15W wireless charger and TWS earphones. Infinix is also offering VIP benefits to the Racing Edition’s customers, including exclusive after-sales support, prioritized repair services, and other premium VIP privileges.
However, the Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition’s specs remain the same as the regular model. That means you get the Dimensity 8050 SoC, a 6.67″ FullHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen, 108MP primary camera, 32MP selfie shooter, and JBL-tuned stereo speakers. The smartphone also features an in-display fingerprint scanner and packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 68W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition will be released in global markets with an approximate price of $315, but the brand is yet to reveal the amount of RAM and storage it will have onboard. The regular model comes with 256GB storage and up to 12GB RAM.
