Atlee, the leading director of the Tamil film industry, impressed the fans by giving Thalapathy Vijay consecutive blockbuster hit films like ‘Mersal’, ‘Theri’ and ‘Bigil’. His latest pan Indian movie ‘Jawan’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara grossed more than 1000 crores and eclipsed the grosses of several major Bollywood films.
With this success, Atlee is now a world famous director and top heroes from Bollywood and the South are approaching him for thier next. Meanwhile the man himself is taking a four month sabatical to spend quality time with his new born son Meer.
Before that Atlee has given a string of interiews to Bollywood media and in one such he has equated Thalapathy Vijay and Shah Rukh Khan to his mother and wife and has stated that he cannot live without either of them. “Vijay sir is the reason I am here today. He gave me opportunities to direct films. I have given him hit films. But he trusted me a lot. If Shah Rukh Khan wants to act in a film, many directors in the world will come.
But he believed me. To this day I don’t know why. But it was his faith that made me do the film with great responsibility and love.”
Thats not all as Atlee added that ‘Jawan’ has collected more than thousand crore rupees but he has plans to make a movie that will surely collect Rs. 3000 Crores. The sensational filmmaker said that when he makes a film that stars both Shah Rukh Khan and Thalapathy Vijay this magical never before achieved box office figures will become a reality.
It is worth mentioning that Atlee already confirmed during ‘Jawan’ promotions that SRK and Vijay have agreed to star in such a combo film. Sources say that the biggie has every likelihood of taking off in the next couple of years. Stay tuned.
