Breaking! Kamal Haasan and Atlee unite for a new mega project?

Atlee, a former associate of grandeur director Shankar has walked straight into the history books as the first Tamil director to deliver a rupees thousand crores grossing film. His most recent film ‘Jawan’ which also marked his Bollywood debut achieved the milestone. The global hit film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Deepika Padukone among others with Anirudh scoring the music.

Atlee himself in a recent interview has confirmed that he is simultaneously working on two mega projects. One of them will star Thalapathy Vijay and Shah Rukh Khan as the two male leads and the other is a Hollywood project.

The latest buzz in Kollywood circles is that Atlee recently met Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and narrated a story line to him which impressed the legend. It is said that the salary and other details are being discussed and an agreement will be signed soon. It is not clear yet if the multiple award winning superstar will be joining Vijay and SRK project or the Hollywood production. We will have to wait for the official confirmation which is expected in a few weeks time.

Kamal Haasan who is currently hosting the controversial ‘Bigg Boss Tamil 7’ has a strong lineup of upcoming biggies that include ‘Indian 2’ and ‘Indian 3’ directed by Shankar, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ directed by Nag Ashwin, ‘Thug Life’ directed by Mani Ratnam and ‘KH 233’ directed by H. Vinoth. The Kamal – Atlee project is likely to be ‘KH 235’.
