Dhanush’s 2012 film “3,” directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, stands as one of the actor’s finest works to date. The movie also served as the launchpad for a young Anirudh Ravichander in the film industry.

Recently, “3” was re-released across numerous theaters in Chennai, captivating audiences with sold-out shows. Earlier in November, a video surfaced showing fans dancing to Anirudh Ravichander’s debut track, “Why This Kolaveri.” In response to the overwhelming reception, Dhanush expressed his gratitude on social media.

The film marked several debuts, including Anirudh’s entry into the music scene and Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s directorial debut. Additionally, it was Dhanush’s maiden venture as a producer. The movie boasted a star-studded cast, featuring Shruti Haasan, Prabhu, Bhanupriya, Sivakarthikeyan, among others. Velraj handled the cinematography, while Kola Bhaskar managed the editing.

“3” narrates the tale of Ram and Janani, high school sweethearts who tie the knot. However, Ram’s sudden suicide prompts Janani to seek answers behind his tragic demise. The film garnered acclaim for its performances, music, and visuals upon its release.

Dhanush is set to star in the period action movie “Captain Miller,” directed by Arun Matheswaran. The film, featuring Shiva Rajkumar, Priyanka Mohan, Sundeep Kishan, and Vinoth Kishan, will hit screens in three parts, with the initial segment scheduled for January 2024.

Moreover, Dhanush is gearing up for a project tentatively titled “D50,” marking his 50th film. The actor will not only star in it but also direct, marking his second directorial venture after “Jagame Thanthiram.”
