Shivpal Yadav
and uncle of party chief Akhilesh Yadav said “there can be no
alliance
with
BSP
until its leader (
Mayawati
) distances herself from BJP”.
Yadav was in Muzaffarnagar and Deoband on Sunday to hold party meetings with workers. On Congress’s recent assembly polls’ drubbing in the Hindi heartland states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, the SP leader said, “Yes, BJP won in the three states.
It was the peoples’ mandate. We have to accept it. However, the INDIA bloc will unitedly accomplish the task of removing BJP from the country in 2024.”
He also said there is still time to decide the distribution of seats, and talks will be held on this issue. About the potential PM face within the INDIA bloc, Yadav said, “We’ve several capable leaders who could assume the role. A decision on this will be made later.”
