Actor Suriya is currently not in the country but he has expressed his grief over Captain Vijayakanth’s death in an emotional video. Notably, the legendary veteran actor helped Suriya’s career in his early days by playing an extended cameo in the movie ‘Periyanna’ directed by SA Chandrasekhar.
Taking to social media, Suriya shared the video and wrote, “The days in which I worked, talked and ate together with him are unforgettable… He never said no to anyone who sought help. Deep condolence on the demise of my brother Vijayakanth, who helped crores of people and became the Puratchi Kalaignar!!” His video is going viral.
In the video, Suriya said, “Deeply disheartened to hear that Annan Vijayakanth is no more. He was a rare artist who lived with bravery in one eye and kindness in the other. He helped all people without any difference and got a place in our hearts as Puratchi Kalaignar and Captain. I pray to God to grant peace to the soul of Annan Vijayakanth. My deepest condolences to his family and millions of fans.”
