Hearing a PIL filed by some Police SI aspirants alleging irregularities in the selection procedure, the Orissa High Court has issued a notice to the Police Recruitment Board and the state government. 

According to a source, at a centre set up for the Police SI recruitment test in Khordha, the aspirants were supplied with question papers of Paper II instead of Paper I. Later, some aspirants moved the Orissa High Court seeking its intervention.

The High Court heard the PIL today. It has served notices to the Police Recruitment Board and the state government. The next hearing will be held on January 29. 

Informing about the development, the petitioners’ advocate Biswaranjan Paramguru said, “Leaving 95 posts vacant, they have filled up all the posts. Over the irregularities and lack of transparency, we have filed a writ petition in the High Court. Hearing the petition, the High Court has served notices to the Police Recruitment Board and the Home Department.”
