  England spinner Shoaib Bashir became the second overseas bowler to pick up a Test five-wicket haul in India during the fourth Test match in the ongoing tour in Ranchi on Sunday.

  Dhruv Jurel’s brave 90 runs have put India right back in the contest. India looked down and out when Kuldeep Yadav and Jurel got together. Their 76-run eighth-wicket stand gave India hope before Jurel found support from Akash Deep to carry the momentum. Jurel picked his moments to attack, farmed strike and ensured India’s deficit comes down below 50 runs.   OUT! Kuldeep chops on against Anderson. Unlucky dismissal. Hits the toe end, then the back leg before hitting the stumps. India loses eighth wicket. A great innings by Kuldeep nevertheless.

  A half-hearted appeal by England against Jurel. Anderson’s ball drifted down the leg and kissed the pads before the keeper grabbed it. A gentle appeal but not out.

  – Shoaib Bashir began the second session and continued to bowl till the end of day’s play – 32 overs. He extracted turn off the cracks. Height helps him get uneven bounce and trouble Indian batters. 

  – Bashir takes four and Hartley gets two as India loses plot by the end of day’s play. 

  – Dhruv Jurel and Kuldeep Yadav will continue today. The duo has already added 40 plus runs for the eighth wicket. India still trails by 134 runs.
