Even a singer like Adele, who has announced the delay in the start of her Las Vegas residency, said on social media that she was really sorry to her fans. She mentioned that she hadn’t fully recovered from an illness she had acquired at the end of her previous shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. As a result, she postponed all five weekends scheduled for March and promised new dates soon.
In her post, the 35-year-old said, “Sacrilegious as it sounds, I have to take a beat and pause my Vegas residency. I was sick at the end of the last leg and all the way through my break. I hadn’t quite gotten the chance to get back to full health before shows resumed, and now I’m sick again, and unfortunately, it’s all taken a toll on my voice. And so, on doctors’ orders, I have no choice but to rest thoroughly. The remaining five weekends of this leg are being postponed to a later date.”
She went further to tell the fans how much she would miss them. Her residency was postponed by two months in January 2022. It was consequently rescheduled to run from November 2022 through March 2023.
The British singer wrapped up her second leg last November and has announced an extension to her stay for unspecified dates during her residency. She has received an additional five dates from May through June, in addition to the 10 postponed dates. The Grammy winner has also announced her return to Europe, where she will sing four nights in Germany in August. In July 2022, she performed at the British Summer Time Festival held at Hyde Park in the United Kingdom.
