Galaxy S25 series will be all-Exynos everywhere, new rumor claims

A new rumor today from a leakster over on X (formerly Twitter) has some bad news for those who dislike Samsung’s line of Exynos chipsets. According to this source, at the current stage of development, Samsung is planning for the entire Galaxy S25 line to use its Exynos SoCs – given the history, we assume this means the yet-unannounced Exynos 2500.

That’s all of the models in all of the countries, everywhere. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 will only use Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets (the 8 Gen 4, presumably), while the entry-level and mid-range Galaxy A series will have a mix of SoCs from MediaTek and Samsung in 2025.

So currently 2025 Samsung phones will be :

Galaxy Z – Snapdragon Only
Galaxy S – Exynos Only
Galaxy A – Mediatek & Exynos

This far away from any of these devices launching, we’d caution you to take an extra large dose of salt with this one, especially as it hasn’t been ‘confirmed’ by any other source, rumor or not.

Even if all of this is true and does pan out, keep in mind that we still don’t know exactly what the Exynos 2500 will be capable of. Maybe it will finally leapfrog the Snapdragon 8 series? We’ve seen stranger things in this mobile world in the past, so don’t rule it out completely.

Then again if that does happen, why are the foldables going to be ‘punished’ to go with Snapdragon? We can’t say this sort of strategy makes a lot of sense to us, but then again we could say the same thing for the current Exynos-Snapdragon split in the Galaxy S24 family.
