Vijay Sethupathi, one of the biggest actors in India today, is gearing up for the release of his 50th film, “Maharaja.” Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan of “Kurangu Bommai” fame, “VJS 50” has generated a huge buzz. The makers released the trailer today. The 1.5-minute video is engaging, piquing curiosity while keeping the main plot under wraps.
Vijay Sethupathi plays a saloon owner who is seen trying to file a police complaint about a stolen ‘Lakshmi’ from his house at the opening of the trailer. However, he clarifies that ‘Lakshmi’ is not gold, documents, assets, or a person. The trailer offers glimpses of an action-packed thriller as the cops struggle to figure out the mystery behind ‘Lakshmi’.
‘Maharaja’ promises to be an intense crime action thriller. As per sources, the film will hit the screens in June. The star cast comprises VJS, Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, Natty Natraj, Bharathiraja, Munishkanth, Abhirami, Boys Manikandan and others. Ajaneesh Loknath’s background score, Dinesh Purushothaman’s visuals and Philomin Raj’s cuts are brilliant.
