Before living alone in Brentwood, Ben Affleck discussed his marriage to Jennifer Lopez in an interview. Affleck called her popularity “freaking bananas.” in a rare public talk about his marriage to the pop diva. Affleck confessed he doesn’t like Lopez’s fame, which many do.
The 51-year-old actor detailed an outing with Lopez on Kevin Hart’s Hart to Heart talk program, highlighting her pull. We went somewhere with Jennifer—I can’t remember where because she’s famous and creates this… “People love her because she represents something important,” he remarked. Affleck was amused by public reactions: “[To me,] people are like, ‘Hey, I like your movie,’ and then they’re like ‘AAAHHHH! J-LO!'”
The blended family—Affleck’s three children with Jennifer Garner—Violet (18), Seraphina (15), and Samuel (12)—and Lopez’s twins, Max and Emme, from her marriage to Marc Anthony—visited Times Square. We got out of the car to go to a play, and I said, ‘Forget it, darling, we’re going to be late, we have to walk a block and a half.’ He remembered Lopez saying, ‘Alright,’ and she didn’t say anything. Affleck added, “We went to Times Square with her and the kids, and it was crazy.”
The interview didn’t discuss their living situation or marital troubles, but Affleck did explain why he looks gloomy in paparazzi images. Affleck denied difficulty in paradise, saying he avoids publicity. Not much attention please. This is why people ask, ‘Why is this person always mad?’ As someone stuck their camera in my face, I said, “OK, here we go,” he said. Later, Affleck’s friend said he’s reserved because he’s uncomfortable with cameras.
