Vikrant Massey has been around the Indian entertainment industry for more than a decade now. He acted in many television serials, commercials, films and OTT series before finally getting a major Bollywood success with 12th Fail – a Vidhu Vinod Chopra movie which turned out to be a sleeper hit surprising many Bollywood trade analysts.
While it may be exaggerating to say that Massey has arrived, one can certainly say that the unexpected massive success of 12th Fail has opened more and better opportunities for the much-deserving actor.

Vikrant Massey to collab with Raees fame Rahul Dholakia
Latest reports from Peeping Moon say that Raees fame director Rahul Dholakia has roped in the Mirzapur actor for the lead role in his upcoming psychological thriller. The movie will be produced by Madhu Mantena’s new production company Phantom Studios and is expected to go on the floors by the start of next year. As of now, the actor has given a verbal nod and the contractual details are being finalised.
Vikrant Massey has already given his nod for two more prestigious projects including a maiden web series of Rajkumar Hirani that revolves around cyber security. Another one is the movie Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, a directorial debut of famous dialogue writer Niranjan Iyengar. In this particular flick, Vikrant will be playing the role of a blind musician. He is also in talks with Namah Pictures for a romantic drama although nothing is confirmed as of yet.

Before starting Rahul Dholakia’s movie, the actor is expected to complete his projects with Hirani and Iyengar first.
Vikrant Massey also has a few upcoming projects lined up for release including Netflix’s Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba which also stars Sunny Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, and Jimmy Sheirgill in important roles. It is scheduled to premiere worldwide on August 9. He is also the lead actor in The Sabarmati Report which will be released in September this year and a mystery thriller of Dinesh Vijan titled Sector 36. Another project of Massey that is expected to be released this year is Talaakhon Mein Ek with Raashi Khanna as the female lead.
