Samantha, one of the most sought-after actresses, made her OTT debut in 2021 with the second season of the Amazon Prime series ‘The Family Man’, created by the blockbuster duo Raj & DK. She has since reunited with Raj & DK for the upcoming Amazon Prime series ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’, co-starring Varun Dhawan, set to release later this year.
According to recent reports, Samantha has signed a new web series that will mark her Netflix debut. Sources reveal that she will be collaborating with actors Aditya Roy Kapur and Wamiqa Gabbi for the Netflix original series titled ‘Rakht Brahmand’. This series will be directed by Rahi Anil Barve, known for his acclaimed work on ‘Tumbbad’. Production for this project is scheduled to begin in August 2024, with a targeted release in late 2025.
Interestingly, Raj & DK will serve as the showrunners and producers for ‘Rakht Brahmand’ through their D2R Films. Although this news is currently unconfirmed and awaits an official announcement, it has already gone viral on the internet. Meanwhile, Samantha is also rumoured to play the female lead in director Gautham Menon’s upcoming Malayalam film with Mammootty.
