Director Vignesh Shivan embarked on a new film project titled ‘Love Insurance Corporation (LIC)’ last year, featuring Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty. However, in January 2024, the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) issued a cease and desist notice to the team, alleging trademark infringement and demanding a title change.
Today, Vignesh Shivan announced that the new title of the film will be revealed along with the first look on July 25th, coinciding with Pradeep Ranganathan’s birthday. This announcement has gone viral on social media. Speculation is rife that the fantasy rom-com will be renamed ‘Love Insurance Kompany (LIK),’ though this remains to be confirmed.
The film boasts a star-studded cast including Pradeep Ranganathan, Krithi Shetty, SJ Suryah, Yogi Babu, Muhammed Rasool, Gouri G. Kishan, Sha Ra, and Seeman. Produced by Seven Screen Studio, the movie features music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Ravi Varman, and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav.
