The foundation was established in 1989 by Petrea King, an author, inspirational keynote speaker, teacher and facilitator who specialises in emotional wellness. Now, as CEO of Quest for Life, Petrea leads a team of highly trained and qualified health professionals who value compassion, humility, respect, empathy and sustainability as they help you navigate a path to healing.

Wellness for Women: Meditation, Mindfulness & Yoga Retreat | | This weekend retreat helps you connect to the stillness within and embrace your relationship with your natural self via yoga, movement, meditation and mindfulness activities. Slow down and take some time for yourself to simply be, filling your cup and letting peace be your leader. Over the course of three days and two nights, enjoy guided activities which will help you build a framework of self-care strategies to improve your emotional equilibrium, balance your nervous system and improve your responses to life’s challenges.

Healing Your Life | Heal your life and build strength for the future with this fiveday residential program. “We call them life’s Ds — whether it’s a divorce, death, depression, disease or disaster, everyone faces a significant challenge or trauma at some point,” Petrea King, the Quest for Life CEO, says. “If you are finding it difficult to cope, are feeling depressed, stressed, burnt-out or anxious, our Healing Your Life program can make a profound and positive difference in your life.”

This program provides education alongside practical strategies, tools and techniques to help you increase your spiritual wellbeing and enhance your resilience. Be guided by a team of professional psychologists, therapists and counsellors who will help you on this journey. “In addition to our team members’ many professional qualifications, each member has their own experience of personal growth through suffering,” Petrea says. “This lived experience adds a powerful dimension to our programs, as participants feel they’re amongst people who relate to their suffering.”

Learn to live mindfully, meditate, take charge of your thoughts and feelings and respond instead of react. Relaxation and sleep strategies also play a core part of this program, ensuring you leave the beautiful Quest for Life grounds feeling energised and ready to face the future.

Quest for Life | The Quest for Life five-day residential program is designed to aid those living with cancer, MS, Parkinson’s, Fibromyalgia, MND, SLE, vaccine injuries, autoimmune diseases, Long COVID and chronic illness. Actively contribute to your own wellness and make meaning of your situation through a combination of healing modalities for the body, mind and spirit. Receive an education in neuroplasticity (the brain’s ability to change/heal) and epigenetics, and take charge of your thoughts and feelings using practical strategies. Dietary guidelines and meditation are also covered.

This program includes periods of leisure, allowing you to prioritise your own needs. A team of psychologists, counsellors, massage therapists and naturopaths are on site to guide you, with some of them having experienced serious illness themselves. The Quest for Life experience

A Quest for Life experience includes on-site accommodation in a comfortable bedroom complete with en suite. The centre is also wheelchair inclusive. Delicious and nutritious meals are provided for your stay using the SLOW principle (seasonal, locally sourced, organic and wholefood) as far as possible. Those with specific dietary requirements, including glutenfree, dairy-free, nut-free, sugarfree or vegan, are catered for.
