Director Vetrimaaran’s acclaimed socio-political drama, “Viduthalai”, which starred Soori and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles, is set to continue its powerful narrative in “Viduthalai Part 2”. Following the success of the first part released in 2023, the team has been diligently working on the sequel, with a few days of shooting still remaining.
According to industry sources, the final shooting schedule for “Viduthalai Part 2″ is slated to commence in the first week of September. The filmmakers are reportedly targeting a grand release in the third week of December, coinciding with the Christmas holidays. However, an official announcement regarding the release date is still awaited. In addition, there are rumors circulating about the possibility of Viduthalai Part 3”. Whether this speculation holds true remains to be seen.
“Viduthalai Part 2” features an impressive ensemble cast, including Gautham Menon, Rajiv Menon, Chethan, Tamizh, Bhavani Sre, Prakash Raj, and Manju Warrier, among others. The film is produced by RS Infotainment, with music composed by Ilaiyaraaja, cinematography by Velraj, and editing by Ramar. The two-part film is based on Jeyamohan’s short story, “Thunaivan”.
