Metro services to be available on Esplanade 

Starting September 1, metro services on the green line -2 of Kolkata metro railways have started operations on Sundays. Services along this corridor commenced in mid-March much to the relief of daily commuters. Connecting two major areas- the

Sunday

service has added to the relief of the commuters as it allows them to reach the heart of the city and back in a jiffy.

According to an official release, 6500 commuters had travelled by 5:00 pm. The trains on this stretch will operate at an interval of 15 mins on Sundays.
