Dhanush, one of India’s most celebrated and in-demand actors, is known for balancing both acting and directing projects. He currently has a packed schedule, working on director Sekhar Kammula’s “Kubera” and Anand L Rai’s “Tere Ishk Mein” as an actor. Simultaneously, he’s directing “Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam” and preparing to helm two other untitled films, featuring Arun Vijay and Nithya Menen.
However, Dhanush recently faced a major setback when the Tamil Film Producer Council imposed a red card on him. The council’s action came after Dhanush allegedly failed to allocate dates to producers Murali Ramasamy of Thenandal Films and Kathiresan of Five Star Creations, despite having received advances for two films. As a result, filmmakers wishing to work with Dhanush were instructed to approach the council first, halting his collaborations.
In a turn of events, the latest reports confirm that the red card has been lifted. Dhanush reached an agreement with both producers, promising to star in a film for Murali Ramasamy’s Thenandal Films. Additionally, he has agreed to return the advance with interest to Kathiresan of Five Star Creations. This resolution has brought relief to both the producers and the actor’s fans, who are celebrating the news across social media platforms.
