Congress all set to form government in Haryana, its Tsunami of victory, Rahul Gandhi in Sonipat

CHANDIGARH: Senior Congress leader and leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said on Tuesday that a storm of Congress is coming to Haryana. He said the Congress government will represent all 36 communities of the state. The youth from these communities will be given justice and equality by filling two lakh vacant government posts with full transparency.
Rahul Gandhi remarked this on the second day of the “Haryana Vijay Sankalp Yatra” while addressing a massive rally in

Sonipat

on .

He was accompanied by Haryana Congress President Udai bhan, Congress Working Committee member MP Deepender Singh Hooda, MP Satpal Brahmachari, and other leaders.
The yatra started in the morning from Bahadurgarh, passed through Sonipat, and reached Gohana in the evening. A large crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of Rahul Gandhi during the rally. Roads were packed with people, and locals showered flowers and raised slogans to welcome the procession.
During the rally in Sonipat, Rahul Gandhi exposed the pre and post poll understanding between the BJP and smaller parties in Haryana. He said that these smaller parties are BJP’s B, C, and D teams, and the fight in the assembly elections is between BJP and Congress. He emphasized that the battle is to protect the Constitution of Dr. Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi.

The senior Congress leader highlighted that whatever the Dalits, backward classes, and the poor in India have achieved is due to the Constitution. The Constitution states that all citizens of India are equal. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi waives off loans worth crores for billionaires, helps them, and passes three black farm laws to benefit Adani. Yet, he does not waive off loans for the poor, women, or farmers, nor does he provide jobs. This, he said, is an attack on the Constitution. The RSS fills institutions with its own people, while the poor and marginalized are denied opportunities. This is also an attack on the Constitution, and the BJP wants to destroy it. Congress leaders will protect the Constitution even if it costs them their lives.

Rahul Gandhi further stated that the entire country knows that the BJP governments in India and Haryana are run to benefit 2-3 billionaires. As a result, all avenues of employment in Haryana have been closed, and small and medium businesses have been shut down. Public factories have been privatized. Haryana’s youth, who used to join the army, have also been blocked by the Agniveer scheme introduced by Narendra Modi. He described the Agniveer scheme as a way to steal pensions, canteen privileges, and martyr status from Indian soldiers.
Speaking of Congress’s unity, Rahul Gandhi said that while lions live alone in the jungle, the Congress party is different—it is a party where all lions (workers) stand together. His job, he said, is to bring all these lions together.
He went on to say that in India today, all the wealth is flowing into the hands of a few billionaires. Meanwhile, prices of essential items like petrol, diesel, and onions are being hiked, extracting money from the pockets of ordinary people. For every rupee Modi gives to Adani and Ambani, Congress will give the same to farmers, the poor, and women. He also raised concerns over the increasing drug problem.
The senior Congress leader pointed out that people in Haryana are receiving ransom calls because the BJP government has created a web of unemployment. Haryana has now reached the top position in both unemployment and crime. He also criticized the BJP government for introducing the Family Identity Card (PPP), which, he said, is used to harass every family in the state. Under the guise of this card, people are being deprived of government schemes. Rahul Gandhi promised that once Congress forms the government in Haryana, the Family Identity Card will be abolished.
Rahul Gandhi appealed to the public to vote for Congress candidates in large numbers and also outlined Congress’s guarantees. He promised that if Congress comes to power in Haryana, women will receive ₹2000 per month, and gas cylinders will be provided for ₹500. The monthly pension for the elderly, disabled, and widows will be raised to ₹6000. The old pension scheme will be restored for government employees. Haryana will be made drug-free, and 300 units of electricity will be provided free of cost. On the lines of Rajasthan’s Chiranjeevi Scheme, free treatment up to ₹25 lakh will be provided. Poor families will receive 100-yard plots, and two-room houses will be constructed at a cost of ₹3.5 lakh. Farmers will be given a legal guarantee for minimum support price (MSP). To ensure that backward communities receive their rightful share, a caste-based survey will be conducted. The creamy layer income limit for backward classes will be increased from ₹6 lakh to ₹10 lakh.
