The latest blockbuster ‘The Greatest Of All Time’ (GOAT), starring Thalapathy Vijay, has made its much-awaited debut on Netflix today. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, this action-packed entertainer has already raked in a staggering ₹450 crores at the global box office, and now fans can enjoy it from the comfort of their homes.
Ahead of its digital release, there was a lot of buzz around the possibility of an extended director’s cut of ‘GOAT’ arriving on OTT. In an earlier interview, director Venkat Prabhu hinted at this possibility, fueling excitement among fans. However, Venkat Prabhu has now clarified that the version streaming on Netflix is the theatrical cut, not the extended edition.
Taking to social media, Venkat Prabhu explained, “For the director’s cut, a lot of VFX and final work is required, guys! I’ll talk to my producers at @Ags_production and see if we can release it as deleted scenes or an extended cut in the coming future! For now, enjoy this version!” Fans eagerly anticipate the release of the extended cut once the necessary post-production work is completed.
