Baahubali 3 CONFIRMED, major plans revealed! Will Prabhas reprise his iconic role?
South director SS Rajamouli became a trendsetter with his magnum opus Baahubali franchise. While both Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion emerged as box office success, the sequel scripted history with its lifetime box office collections. The movies broke the language barrier and paved the way for other South movies to become pan-India blockbusters. Moreover, Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Sathyaraj became household names. After the release of the sequel in 2017, speculations were rife that the makers could bring the third instalment. However, Rajamouli quashed the rumours. But, now there’s good news for movie lovers who were eagerly waiting for Baahubali 3.
Recently, the ‘Mahismati Kingdom’ franchise’s filmmaker KE Gnanavel Raja confirmed that Baahubali 3 will be made and Prabhas will return to the franchise.
According to a report by Desimartini report, filmmaker Raja confirmed that currently the film is being planned and the team discussed the ideas recently.
While the first part was released in 2015, the sequel was released in 2017. Now the filmmakers are planning for the third instalment after a long gap.
Raja also explained that the team is taking time to ensure that the audience can connect with the characters.
He also cited examples of Kalki 2898 AD and Salaar Part 1. He said that the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD will be released after two more films and there is a gap between the release of Salaar’s sequel. He also mentioned that such an approach is similar to Suriya’s Singham series, which proved to be a successful strategy.
Earlier in 2017, apart from Rajamouli, screenwriters Vijayendra Prasad and Prabhas had also cleared the air that the story of the Baahubali franchise concluded with the sequel and indicated to continue the franchise through comic and TV series.
Well, this major update from KE Gnanavel Raja will indeed stream excitement among all who were eagerly waiting for Baahubali 3. This update has even rekindled the hope that Prabhas will reprise his iconic role of Baahubali and rule the Mahismati Empire.
Fans need to wait for more updates on the third instalment of the Baahubali franchise. And as the Baahubali franchise won’t be the same without Prabhas, fans can expect the Rebel Star to reprise his iconic role.
