Congress leaders will address the media on Saturday. They will counter the BJP’s claims about unfulfilled promises. The leaders will present evidence of the implementation of five guarantees in their respective states.
MUMBAI: Chief ministers Revanth Reddy (Telangana), Sukhvinder Sukhu (Himachal Pradesh) and Karnataka deputy CM D K Shivkumar will interact with the media on Saturday to counter what the Congress termed as “BJP’s fake narrative.”
MPCC president Nana Patole said these Congress leaders will “expose BJP’s false propaganda” over a series of assurances given by CMs of Karnataka, Telangana and Himachal Pradesh. “Through large newspaper advertisements, BJP attempted to mislead the public by falsely claiming that the guarantees given by these govts were not fulfilled. These leaders will make a presentation on how the five guarantees are being implemented in these states,” Patole said.
An AICC delegation led by national spokesperson Pawan Khera lodged a complaint with the chief electoral officer on Thursday, demanding action against BJP. They argued that there was a “direct attempt by the BJP to spread false propaganda against the Congress.”
