Director Rajkumar Periasamy, fresh off the Diwali success of “Amaran” starring Sivakarthikeyan, has officially confirmed his next venture—a high-budget project with Dhanush. Ending weeks of speculation, Rajkumar announced the collaboration today, revealing that the film, tentatively titled “D55”.
This highly anticipated project will be produced by Anbuchezhiyan’s Gopuram Films. A traditional pooja was held for “D55”, and pictures from the ceremony are already going viral, building anticipation among fans. Dhanush is expected to begin filming after wrapping up his current project, “Idly Kadai”.
Dhanush’s packed slate also includes “Kubera”, “Idly Kadai”, a biopic on “Ilaiyaraaja”, and “Tere Ishk Mein”. He’s also rumoured to be collaborating with directors Mari Selvaraj, Vignesh Raja, Thamizharasan Pachamuthu, and his brother Selvaraghavan. Besides acting, Dhanush is also directing the upcoming teen romance drama “Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam”, slated to release soon.
