Mumbai: Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC stressed the chemistry of the leadership trio of Mahayuti government in Maharashtra on Sunday as the alliance sweeped the state assembly elections.

Speaking to on Sunday, Shaina NC said that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar have the “absolute chemistry” of working towards the ‘Vikshit Maharashtra’ (developed Maharashtra).

Referring to the poll results, Shaina NC termed the alliance’s strike rate of performance as “phenomenal.”

“Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis, Ajit Pawar have the absolute chemistry of working towards the ‘Vikshit Maharashtra’ and in that sense it is the history which have been created, the strike rate of BJP, Shiv Sena have been close to 70-80 per cent, which is phenomenal… and I am sure in the days to come it will only be a developmental agenda,” she said.

Shaina NC, who lost to Congress’ Amin Patel in Mumba Devi, further expressed gratitude to the voters of the constituency, saying that the number of votes she received was the highest a Shiv Sena-BJP candidate has ever received from the constituency.

“I want to thank the voters of Mumba Devi for giving me 40,150 votes which has been the highest any candidate from Shiv Sena has ever got. I would also like to tell those who did not vote to please consider voting for progress and development as we have seen the injustice done to this area in the last 15 years. The kind of victory that Mahayuti has seen in Maharashtra is a tsunami of political performance,” she said.

As per the Election Commission of India (ECI), the ruling Mahayuti alliance registered a smashing victory, carrying its allies–Shiv Sena and NCP–with its momentum.

The BJP won 132 seats, Shiv Sena led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, won 57 seats, and the NCP led by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar won 41 seats. The state has 288 assembly seats.In contrast, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) suffered a rude jolt with Shiv Sena (UBT) led by Uddhav Thackeray winning 20 seats, Congress securing 16, and NCP(SP) led by Sharad Pawar managed just 10 seats.

The BJP saw a fabulous strike rate with the party winning 133 of the 148 seats it contested in Maharashtra. The assembly elections in Maharashtra were held on November 20.
