Srikant Dwivedi
, currently seen as the parallel lead in
Shiv Shakti:
Tap Tyaag Taandav and known for his roles in shows like Lakshmi Narayan—Sukh Samarthya Santulan and Bhagya Lakshmi, is a fitness freak. He says that his
fitness transformation
has not been sudden.
He says, “I used to be very skinny and lanky during my school and college days. People would often make fun of that and that used to bother me a lot.
Body shaming
is unfortunately common. When I started working, I decided to focus on myself—working out and maintaining a good diet.”
It took him years, and that was tough, says the actor. Srikant adds, “One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in life is patience. It wasn’t easy for me, but it has been the key to every transformation I’ve gone through. I went from being very skinny to becoming muscular and then lean. Throughout my journey, I’ve undergone several body transformations. Nothing happens overnight.”
Talking about his diet, he says, “My diet kept changing throughout my fitness journey. When I was bulking up, moving from being a lean 75 kg to crossing 100 kg, my diet was high in carbs and fats. I didn’t avoid food at all during this phase. But for my acting career, I started to get leaner, I made important changes to my diet. I reduced carbs drastically and focused more on good fats. It’s all about consistency and making time for fitness, no matter how hectic life gets.”
