#MeToo Movement brought into light some of the dirtiest harassments and sexual abuses that women face in Bollywood . From aspiring actresses to singers and so many women associated with the Hindi film industry in one way or the other came out with their horrifying experiences that shocked the entire industry. Big names of actors, directors, and producers were part of the list of the accused who sometimes in their lives played dirty games with the young aspiring women.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan walked out of a movie to support a victim
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has represented India as the beauty queen on international platforms promoting equal rights to women and has also time and again been vocal about the plights of victims of domestic violence and torture. But at one point in time when she was faced with a situation that needed her to take a stand in support of a victim in her personal life, the Bollywood superstar did not hesitate and walked out of a good project.
It was during October 2018 that Ash took a strong stand after an actress was outcasted from the industry when she shared her shocking experience with Gaurang Doshi who was her ex-boyfriend. This aspiring actress was Flora Saini who during one of her interviews in 2018 said that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan supported her when no one from the industry was ready to work with her.
Not only did Ash support Flora but she even walked out of the movie that Gaurang Doshi was producing. In the interview, Flora said, “That time when I spoke, I felt I made a huge mistake. Nobody was giving me work. I’m the only breadwinner of my family, and it has become very difficult. No support! The only person to support me (then) was Aishwarya Rai, and I thank her from the bottom of my heart.”
This support gave Flora some hope of continuing with her struggle in the entertainment industry. Not only did Ash walk out of the movie but she also discussed the same during one of the interviews saying that she will never work with a woman beater.
