Actor Sivakarthikeyan proudly spoke about Rajkamal Films regarding salary payments and openly shared some issues.
The movie “Amaran,” directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy and starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, received both critical and commercial success, running for over 100 days. Since Kamal Haasan was in the U.S., the crew did not celebrate initially. After his return, the 100th-day celebration took place at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai, without media presence, exclusively for TV.
At the event, Kamal praised Sivakarthikeyan, saying, “He invests his earnings in cinema after building his house, showing his dedication.” In his speech, Sivakarthikeyan thanked the production team and shared his experience regarding salary issues.
He stated, “I received my full salary for this film on time, which is rare in Tamil cinema. Usually, I face payment issues until the night before release, and certain groups even take half of my salary. However, Raajkamal Films ensured I was paid fully six months before release, which is extremely rare.”
Notably, financier Anbu Chezhiyan was present in the front row, and many in the industry believe Sivakarthikeyan was indirectly referring to his past financial dealings.
.@Siva_Kartikeyan:It’s rare for me to receive my full salary as promised & that too 6 months before a film’s release like with #Amaran. For most of my films, I face payment issues until the night before release. There’s a group that grabs half of my salary.pic.twitter.com/grcazQWRiw
