Producer Archana Kalpathi has responded clearly to questions regarding the box office collection of Vijay’s movie “GOAT”.

In a recent interview promoting the film “Dragon”, she addressed the earnings of “GOAT”. She clarified, “They mention a collection of ₹450 crores, but that amount does not include business beyond theaters. If we include other revenue streams, the figure would be much higher.

The collection we announced was strictly the theatrical box office revenue. Taxes must be deducted from this number. For big films, business outside the theaters plays a crucial role even before the release. A substantial amount of profit is derived from these additional sources, making most of the theatrical collection pure profit.”

“GOAT” was produced by AGS Entertainment and directed by Venkat Prabhu. The movie featured Vijay, Mohan, Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Sneha, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Jayaram, with music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film was highly successful in Tamil Nadu. However, it failed to perform well in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.
