Actor Mohanlal has officially announced the movie ‘Drishyam 3’. There was anticipation about when ‘Drishyam 3’ would begin, and now Mohanlal has confirmed it through his social media post.
He shared a picture with director Jeethu Joseph and producer Antony Perumbavoor, stating, “The past never stays silent. Drishyam 3 confirmed!”
The ‘Drishyam’ series, directed by Jeethu Joseph and starring Mohanlal, has been a huge success. The first film, released in 2013, depicted an ordinary man’s struggle to protect his family. Due to its popularity, it was remade in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and even Sinhala. It holds the distinction of being the first Indian film to be remade in Chinese.
Moreover, both ‘Drishyam’ and ‘Drishyam 2’ are set to be remade in Hollywood. The Hindi remake of the first film was produced by Panorama Studios International, which is now collaborating with Gulfstream Pictures and Joat Films for the Hollywood adaptation. The film has also been remade in Korean, and Panorama plans to remake ‘Drishyam’ in 10 different languages.
With Jeethu Joseph confirming earlier that ‘Drishyam 3’ would be the final part of the series, fans are eagerly awaiting its release.
