Retro Update: Telugu Rights Sold in Exciting New Deal

Sithara Entertainments has acquired the Telugu distribution rights of Suriya’s much-awaited film, “Retro.” The film is set to release on May 1, and its teaser and songs have received a tremendous response online. Reports suggest that the rights were secured for ₹10 crore under the Minimum Guarantee (MG) model, though an official confirmation from Sithara is yet to be made.

“Retro,” directed by Karthik Subbaraj, features Suriya, Pooja Hegde, Joju George, and Karunakaran in key roles. The movie is jointly produced by 2D Entertainment and Stone Bench Films. Currently, the film is in its final stages of production, and Suriya is expected to participate in its promotional events soon.

After wrapping up “Retro,” Suriya is shifting his focus to a project with RJ Balaji. Following that, reports indicate that he will collaborate with director Venky Atluri for a new film, which will also be produced by Sithara Entertainments.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of “Retro,” and the buzz surrounding the film continues to grow.
