In 2016, Kangana made several allegations related to this matter. Later, in a 2020 television interview, she made defamatory remarks against renowned Hindi lyricist Javed Akhtar. She claimed that Akhtar, being close to Hrithik’s family, had pressured her to apologize to Hrithik.
In response, Javed Akhtar filed a legal case against Kangana in the Mumbai Bandra Magistrate Court. Kangana also counter-filed a case against him. This legal battle continued for five years.
Recently, Kangana announced that the case had been resolved through mediation. She added that during the mediation process, Javed Akhtar behaved with love and kindness. Additionally, Kangana revealed that Akhtar has agreed to write songs for her next film.
