Coimbatore: Actor and music composer G.V. Prakash stated that the movie “Kingston” will be a unique experience in Indian cinema as it was filmed underwater.
Speaking at an event in Prozone Mall, Coimbatore, G.V. Prakash, who plays the lead role and has composed music for the film, said: “The story is based on the hardships of a fishing village in Thoothukudi. This film presents an aspect never seen before in Indian cinema. ‘Kingston’ is a thrilling adventure set to release on March 7.”
“No film has been shot underwater till now. The fact that this movie was filmed beneath the sea will make it spectacular. It will be a new experience for Indian cinema. Fishermen from a village cannot go into the ocean for fishing, and this story revolves around their struggles,” he added.
“Hollywood movies often depict sea pirates, but this film focuses on what happens in a village near Thoothukudi. It is not a love, comedy, or horror movie. Everything in this film is unique. The story is designed to extend up to four parts, making it a grand narrative. Additionally, the movie’s title is derived from the characters in the film,” he further explained.
