Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s much-anticipated movie ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is set to release on June 20. Directed by R.S. Prasanna, who previously helmed the Tamil film ‘Kalyana Samayal Saadham’, this film marks another emotional project for Aamir.
Following the failure of his previous film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, Aamir went through a period of deep emotional distress. He initially chose to step away from the project due to this mental strain. During this time, he considered replacing himself with Farhan Akhtar for the Hindi version and Sivakarthikeyan for the Tamil version.
In a recent interview, Aamir shared that he was heartbroken after the poor reception of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, a film he personally loved. Feeling unable to continue working, he backed out of ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ and requested the director to proceed with other actors. However, Prasanna insisted that Aamir was the right fit and was always his first choice for the role.
Eventually, Aamir had a change of heart, realizing the screenplay’s emotional depth and value. After speaking honestly with both Farhan Akhtar and Sivakarthikeyan, who were supportive and kind despite the change, Aamir decided to return to the project.
Now, with renewed energy and support from his team, Aamir Khan is back to lead in ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, a film that promises to touch hearts just like its spiritual predecessor.
