Veteran actor and producer Mohan Natarajan, known for producing films featuring top stars like Vijay, Ajith, Vikram, and Suriya, has passed away. The news of his demise has led to an outpouring of tributes from across the film industry. The 71-year-old producer passed away at around 10:30 pm on September 3 in Chennai. His body will be kept at his residence in Saligramam for public homage until 12 pm.
Mohan Natarajan made his debut as a producer with the film ‘Pookkalai Parikkatheergal’ starring Nadhiya. He subsequently produced several successful Tamil films, including ‘Kannukkul Nilavu’ with Vijay, ‘Aalwar’ with Ajith, ‘Deiva Thirumagal’ with Vikram, and ‘Vel’ with Suriya. His contributions as a producer have been significant in shaping the careers of many leading actors in the Tamil film industry.
In addition to his role as a producer, Mohan Natarajan was also a talented actor. He was known for his character and villain roles in numerous films, such as ‘Namma Annachi’, ‘Chakravarthy’, ‘Kottai Vaasal’, ‘Pudhalvan’, ‘Pillaiyaga’, ‘Paattukku Paadava’, ‘Aranmanai Kaavalan’, ‘Pathavi Pramanam’, ‘Mahanadhi’, and ‘Pattiyal’.
Mohan Natarajan had been battling health issues for several months and was undergoing treatment. Unfortunately, despite the medical care, he passed away. Following the news of his death, actor Suriya visited to pay his final respects with a floral tribute. Many other celebrities from the film industry have also expressed their condolences on social media, mourning the loss of a respected figure in Tamil cinema.
