A fifteenth-century Mahal, which was built in the capital by the Sayeed dynasty and was an integral link to India’s history and heritage, was reportedly razed to build a sprawling mansion for the former bureaucrat of the Delhi Jal Board. It was allegedly built on the orders of the former Delhi Jal Board CEO. An IAS officer named Udit Prakash Rai. The Mahal dates back to 1480, almost 800 years.
