During the seventies when Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan were finding their feet in Tamil cinema they starred together in a number of films. However after the1979 film ‘Ninaithale Inikum’ they both mutually agreed to not act together and each has blazed his own trails in Indian cinema that may never be emulated by others.
For the past four decades fans have been wanting to see Rajini and Kamal together on screen which unfortunately has not materialised even though they are the closest of friends offscreen. Now director Praveenkanth of ‘Ratchagan’ and ‘Jodi’ fame has stated in an interview that during meditation he had a strong intuition that the Superstar and Ulaganayagan will act together very soon.
Praveen further added that the lucky director belongs to the younger generation and that he would approach Ajith Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan for cameo roles and they too will agree. He made the open challenge that the film will be India’s biggest in history and will surely be announced in the near future. Let’s wait and see if such a miracle will happen.
Currently Rajinikanth has completed ‘Lal Salaam’ directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and will begin shooting for ‘Thalaivar 170’ directed by T.J. Gnanavel in a couple of weeks. He is also expected to star in ‘Thalaivar 171’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj that will go on floors in 2024.
Kamal Haasan’s upcoming lineups include ‘Indian 2’, ‘KH 233’ and ‘KH 234’ apart from hosting ‘Bigg Boss Tamil 7’. Ajith Kumar on the other hand is expected to kickstart his long delayed ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Lyca.
