On Thursday, actor Siddharth faced interruption while promoting his latest film ‘Chithha’ in Karnataka. Owing to the Cauvery Issue, there is a tension prevailing over between the natives and Tamil in the neighbouring state. Now, the Karunada Chakravarthy Shiva Rajkumar has apologized for the incident.

Some pro-Kannada organisations interrupted the ‘Chithha’ promotional event yesterday and forced him to leave the venue. The video of the same spread like a wildfire on the internet. Actor Prakash Raj and producer Suresh Kamatchi voiced out against this incident on social media. Currently, the Kannada Film Industry led by Shiva Rajkumar is protesting over the Cauvery Issue in Bengaluru.

Talking at the protest, Shivanna extended his heartfelt apology to actor Siddharth on behalf of the entire KFI for yesterday’s unfortunate incident at the Chithha promotional event. A video of Shiva Rajkumar’s speech is now doing rounds on the internet. The legendary Kannada actor was recently seen in Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer’ and will be next seen in the Dhanush starrer ‘Captain Miller’. Shivanna’s ‘The Ghost’ is releasing along with Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Leo’ next month.

Siddharth and Nimisha Sajayan starrer ‘Chithha’ was released in theatres on Thursday. It won over the audience both critically and commercially. Directed by SU Arun Kumar of ‘Pannaiyarum Padminiyum’ and ‘Sethupathi’ fame, this emotional thriller iterates a tale of child abuse in a highly sensible way.
