Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the most wanted directors in Indian cinema today. Top heroes from different film industries are waiting to work with him. The latest is that the acclaimed filmmaker is all set to become a film producer and he officially announced the same with a press release.

Lokesh Kanagaraj already stated in a few interviews that he is planning to give some of his scripts to his associates and assistants so that they can direct them. Now, it is confirmed that Lokesh himself will produce those projects with his associates and assistants. His production house is named ‘G Squad’.

The logo of ‘G Squad’ is similar to the scorpion symbol in LCU. Notably, the scorpion in LCU refers to the ultimate villain role, ‘Rolex’, played by Suriya. Rolex had a similar tattoo on his neck in his appearance in Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Vikram’. Lokesh’s statement says:

“Greetings,

After directing 5 films, I am delighted to announce the launch of my production venture – G Squad, dedicated towards redefining the landscape of storytelling and entertainment.

The first few productions will feature the work of my close friends and assistants to encourage and promote their creative ideas.

I sincerely wish that you all watch, enjoy, and shower the same support that you all have given me so far.

Keep calm and wait for the update of our first production venture.

Loads of love,
Lokesh Kanagaraj” (sic)
