Suriya’s Agaram Foundation has helped the education of an enormous amount of students while Karthi’s Uzhavan Foundation is dedicated to uplifting the livelihood of farmers.

Meanwhile, the capital city of Chennai is affected by floods now. We are all aware that the month of December brings disaster to the coastal regions in Tamil Nadu. Now, the Cyclon Michaung has brought extreme rainfall and floods to Chennai. On November 4th, the KTCC region received more rainfall than the 2015 rain and floods.

The latest news is that Suriya and Karthi have announced an initial sum of ₹10 lakhs to carry out relief work in the flood-affected districts of Chennai, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu and Tiruvallur. The actors are offering assistance to those affected through their fan clubs. Many other celebrities are offering help to the public by different means amid the rains and floods.
