Dhanush, one of the most wanted and busiest actors in the country, is juggling between exciting acting and directorial projects. He has been constantly giving updates about his films on social media. He posted an important update about his upcoming film, ‘D50’, which is his second directorial.
The news is that Dhanush has wrapped up the entire shooting of this movie. He wrote, “#D50 #DD2wrapped. My sincere thanks to the entire crew and cast. Also a big thanks to Kalanithi Maran sir and Sun Pictures for supporting my vision.” The shooting of the film kicked off in July. It is said to be a gangster revenge drama set in North Chennai backdrop.
D50 stars an ensemble cast of Dhanush, SJ Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Nithya Menen, Aparna Balamurali, Selvaragahavan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Anikha Surendran and others. The project is said to have music by AR Rahman with cinematography by Om Prakash and editing by Prasanna GK.
On the work front, Dhanush’s ‘Captain Miller’ directed by Arun Mathewaran is gearing up for a grand release on Pongal 2024. He is expected to join the shooting of director Sekhar Kammula’s ‘D51’ in January 2024. However, reports say that Dhanush has already started his third directorial starring his cousin Varun in which he plays a cameo.
