Khera alleged that she had informed senior Congress leaders, including Sachin Pilot, Jairam Ramesh, Bhupesh Baghel and Pawan Khera, about disrespectful behaviour by Chhattisgarh unit’s communication wing chairperson Sushil Anand Shukla

Radhika Khera levelled some serious allegations against the Indian National Congress (INC) after she quit the party on Sunday (May 5), and vowed to expose the “male chauvinistic mentality” within the party. Khera was the media department’s national coordinator of Congress. She has alleged that no one helped her even after repeated alerts to the party’s high command regarding disrespect at the Chhattisgarh unit.

In her letter, she wrote: “It is an established truth since ancient times that those who support religion have been opposed. Examples of this range from Hiranyakashipu to Ravana and Kansa. At present, some people are opposing those who take the name of Lord Shri Ram.”

“For every Hindu, the birthplace of Lord Ram holds great significance with its sanctity … while every Hindu considers his life successful just by seeing Ram Lalla, some people are opposing it,” she said, without taking any names.

Khera alleged that she had informed senior Congress leaders, including Sachin Pilot, Jairam Ramesh, Bhupesh Baghel and Pawan Khera, about disrespectful behaviour by Chhattisgarh unit’s communication wing chairperson Sushil Anand Shukla.

She also stated that she would expose the “male chauvinistic mentality” within the party.

She targeted Rahul Gandhi and the party’s Nyay Jodo Yatra. She told news agency ANI: “His Nyay Yatra was for namesake, I think he just wants to become a travel vlogger, and he was doing travel vlogging there.”

“I tried to meet her (Priyanka Gandhi Vadra) but she did not meet anyone. She says ‘Ladki hoon lad sakti Hoon’ (I am a woman, I can fight), but ‘Ladki ho toh pitogi’ (If you’re a woman, you’ll get beaten up), is the slogan of Congress,” she added.

She added, “I always heard that Congress is anti-Ram, anti-Sanatan and anti-Hindu but I never believed it.”

“Mahatma Gandhi used to start every meeting with ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’. I got exposed to this reality when I went to Ram temple with my grandmother and after returning from there, I put a ‘Jai Shri Ram’ flag on the door of my house after that Congress party started hating me. Whenever I posted photos or videos, I was scolded and asked why did I visit Ayodhya when elections were under process,” she added.

‘Just a way to join the BJP’

While responding to the allegations, Sushil Anand Shukla said, “The allegations are false and baseless. I have never consumed alcohol. She has levelled false allegations…This is just a way to join the BJP.”

Former Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam said, “Whoever is a patriot, a Ram devotee, who believes in Sanatan, cannot stay in Congress. There is a very long list right now, by June 4, more senior leaders are ready to leave the party because whoever talks about this country cannot stay in Congress, whoever sings songs of Pakistan will stay in Congress.”

Acharya Krishnam was expelled from the party for “indiscipline and anti-party activities” days after he criticised party leadership for skipping Ram Lalla’s consecration ceremony in Ayodhya and termed the decision as “anti-Hindu”.
