Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, last seen in the 2022 mega-blockbuster ‘Vikram,’ is poised to captivate audiences once again. After a two-year hiatus from the big screen, he is gearing up for a series of back-to-back releases in the upcoming months, promising an exciting time for his fans.

The legendary actor will next appear as a menacing villain in the Prabhas starrer ‘Kalki 2898AD,’ set to release on June 27. Following this, fans will see him in action in director Shankar’s ‘Indian 2,’ hitting the screens on July 12. Notably, ‘Indian 1’ was re-released last week as a prelude to the highly anticipated sequel.

The latest buzz is that another of Kamal Haasan’s cult classics is set for a re-release. His 1991 film ‘Gunaa’ is gearing up to hit the screens again in a remastered version on June 21. Earlier this year, the film ‘Manjummel Boys,’ which revolved around the ‘Gunaa’ caves and the iconic “Kanmani Anbodu” song, became a mega-blockbuster. The re-release of ‘Gunaa’ is expected to generate similar excitement and success.

‘Gunaa’ is a psychological romantic drama centered on a newly released psychiatric patient, played by Kamal Haasan, who kidnaps an heiress, portrayed by Roshini, in an attempt to make her fall in love with him. Directed by Santhana Bharathi, the movie wasn’t a commercial success upon its initial release but later gained cult status. The film is also celebrated for having one of the best soundtracks composed by the legendary Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja.
