Attracting massive audiences, Taylor Swift’s performances in Munich this weekend drew people to a hilltop close to the Olympic Stadium to savor her performance from a distance.
Quickly went viral pictures of the sea of Swifties assembling on Olympic Hill, one of Munich’s highest spots. Though some accounts said numbers could have reached up to 40,000, local police estimated 25,000 people were on the hill on Saturday.
Swift projected there were 50,000 people outside the stadium for her Sunday night event. “We’re lucky to perform for 74,000 incredible people inside the stadium, and if the reports are accurate, roughly 50,000 amazing fans outside,” she remarked, as seen on fan videos.
Declaring, “This is a special night since it’s our final show in Germany,” she thanked those inside and outside the stadium. Over the past few weeks, the German people have been amazing. Although we will surely be back, we are sad to be leaving.
Three shows in Warsaw, Poland will round out Swift’s Eras Tour this week. She will go to Vienna, Austria, after Warsaw, then finish the European leg with five gigs in London, England.
