With a brand-new series called ‘John Wick: Under The High Table’, Lionsgate is growing the John Wick universe. Executive produced by franchise star Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski, this series will see Stahelski guiding the first episode.

Co-creator of ‘The Old Man’, Robert Levine wrote the series after ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’. While some known faces stick to the old order, other players seek to make their mark while John Wick leaves the High Table in upheaval. Like the successful prequel on Peacock, ‘The Continental: From the World of John Wick’, promises to mix new and old characters.

Stahelski, under contract with Lionsgate to supervise the John Wick franchise across media, will create the series under 87Eleven Entertainment. Along with Reeves, Levine will be showrunner and executive producer; producers Erica Lee and Basil Iwanyk from Thunder Road will assist.

Reeves will be extensively involved as an executive producer but will not appear in the series. Right now, the project is under active shopping in a competitive market.

In ‘John Wick 4’, John and Caine (Donnie Yen) win their release from the High Table; Winston ( Ian McShane) is restored as the Hotel Manager of the renovated New York Continental. John leaves terribly damaged, even killing the Marquis (Bill SkarsgÃ¥rd). Though a post-credits sequence points at a showdown between Caine and Akira (Rina Sawayama), the vague ending suggests John might be dead.

Lionsgate also has a fifth John Wick picture under development and a spin-off movie called ‘Ballerina’, starring Ana de Armas. There will be no interference with these ideas from the new series.
