Thalapathy Vijay, the popular actor, and now political figure, recently launched the flag and anthem of his political party “Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.” The party’s first state conference is being planned on September 23rd in Vikravandi, Villupuram district. The party has submitted a request for permission to the police to conduct the conference. The petition submitted by the party’s general secretary, Bussy Anand, says:
“I am currently serving as the General Secretary of the Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam. We have planned and prepared for our party’s first state conference to be held in V. Salai village, near Vikravandi in the Villupuram district, on September 23, 2024. Our party leader, Thalapathy Vijay, will be participating in this conference.
We have rented approximately 85 acres of land for the conference. We expect around 1.5 lakh people to attend. To accommodate vehicles coming from all over Tamil Nadu, we have made appropriate arrangements for parking. We have rented around 28 acres of land on the left side of the road from Villupuram to Chennai, where we plan to park vehicles coming from the southern parts of Tamil Nadu. Similarly, on the right side of the same road, we have rented about 40 acres of land to park vehicles arriving from the northern districts of Tamil Nadu. Additionally, around 5 acres of land have been rented for parking two-wheelers.
To ensure a smooth flow without crowding, we have planned three entry routes and three exit routes at the conference venue. Proper arrangements will be made for food, drinking water, restrooms, and medical facilities for everyone attending the conference. Ambulance vans will also be stationed there. We are seeking approval and security from the fire department as well.”
