In a surprising collaboration, maverick filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj has teamed up with Suriya for the first time in the much-anticipated “Suriya 44”. The film is currently in its third schedule, with shooting underway in Kerala following earlier shoots in the Andaman Islands and Ooty. As excitement builds around the project, reports suggest that an actor from Thalapathy Vijay’s blockbuster “GOAT” is set to join the star-studded cast.
The actor in question is none other than Top Star Prashanth, who is rumoured to be playing a special role in “Suriya 44”. Prashanth, who made a successful comeback with “Andhagan” and “GOAT”, is expected to bring his unique flair to the film. An official announcement confirming his role is anticipated soon. Adding to the intrigue, seasoned actors Prakash Raj and Kalidas Jayaram have also been roped in for key roles in the movie.
The film’s already stellar lineup includes Suriya and Pooja Hegde in the lead, with an ensemble supporting cast featuring Jayaram, Joju George, Karunakaran, Nassar, Sujith Shankar, and Thamizh. With music by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Shreyaas Krishna, and editing by Shafique Mohamed Ali, “Suriya 44” is jointly produced by 2D Entertainment and Stone Bench Films.
