Jiiva, one of the best performers in Tamil cinema, is poised to make a comeback with the highly anticipated horror thriller “Black,” which is set to hit theatres in October. Excitement is building on the film as the team unveiled the official trailer yesterday and it has quickly gained traction across social media platforms.
Produced by Potential Studios, “Black” features Jiiva and Priya Bhavani Shankar as a married couple. The trailer provides a glimpse into the film’s chilling narrative, which unfolds over a single night. However, some fans have commented that the storyline in the trailer heavily resembles the 2019 Hollywood film ‘Vivarium’.
The trailer shows Jiiva and Priya Bhavani Shankar finding themselves trapped in a mysterious villa, where unsettling events lead them into a realm of shock and suspense. The film promises a gripping exploration of terror, as the characters navigate the eerie occurrences that disrupt their night.
Directed by KG Balasubramani, the star cast of “Black” also comprises Vivek Prasanna, Yog Japee, Sha Ra, Swayam Siddha and others.
