Heavy rainfall to lash several Odisha districts for 5 days: IMD
The low pressure area over southeast Madhya Pradesh and the neighbourhood with the associated cyclonic circulation has become less marked, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday.
A fresh low pressure area is likely to form over West central and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal around July 19, 2024.
As per the IMD, several parts of Odisha are likely to experience heavy rainfall in the next five days. A yellow warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall has also been issued for some districts.

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Koraput, Malkangiri.

Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Koraput, Rayagada.
Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Puri, Khordha, Jajpur, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur.

Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur.
Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Nuapada, Puri, Khordha, Cuttack, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Bolangir, Ganjam, Nayagarh.
